Elemental Light (AR)
Elemental Light is a group of friends from the city of Oberá (Misiones province, Argentina) that, since studying for their respective university degrees in the Faculty of Art and Design, started light painting, even before they knew the name of the technique, using a borrowed camera and improvising a tripod. With the passing of time that continued practising and studying the technique, and acquiring equipment. The difficulty of getting tools due to import policies in Argentina, led the members of the group to devise their own with anything that emitted, reflected or refracted light in order to produce their first pieces. This is how Elemental Light started to take shape whilst its five members completed their studies.
Luis Kuziw is a graphic designer and university lecturer; Pablo Mielniczuk is an industrial designer and expert in audiovisual and photographic media (MAF); Mariana Wyss is currently finishing her degree in visual arts and MAF. Pablo Pilon is a graphic designer and is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Management and Innovation in Design; Leonardo López studied Special Effects and is a graphic designer and a university lecturer. It is like this that the group roves the region’s landscapes, creating their pieces in the night, looking for ruins and waterfalls in the mountains. At the same time they organize exhibitions, conferences and workshops throughout Argentina and in neighbouring countries such as Brazil and Paraguay.
